Located in Old Town La Quinta, The Kaiser Group of Restaurants’ latest addition brings Clint Eastwood’s original legendary Hog’s Breath Inn, one of Carmel’s most popular restaurants, to the desert with typical Kaiser Group excellence of food, service, and value.

Boasting breathtaking second-story balcony view vistas overlooking the enchanted Santa Rosa Mountains and Old Town La Quinta, and wonderful experiences regardless of the season, the Desert Hog features a cozy, intimate atmosphere with fireplaces, indoor/outdoor Saloon, and indoor/outdoor dining areas. Tasteful murals inspired by Clint Eastwood’s famous movie roles punctuate the space. The warm glow from four fireplaces, hardwood floors, brick walls and Mexican tile lend a cozy aura. The cozy outdoor second story patios offer spectacular vistas and casually intimate dining experiences. The lively Saloon specializes in some of the desert’s best margaritas, including High Noon, Cadillac, Pink Cadillac and Passionate Margaritas. A piano bar provides additional entertainment to the bustling local hangout. Plasma Screen TV’s ensure that favored programming is available. The extensive Saloon Grub Menu includes Chicken Wings, Seared Ahi, Ribs, Dirty Harry Bacon Cheeseburger, Fish Tacos, Calamari, and more. An extensive array of Tequilas, draft and bottled beers and wine complement the experience.

The familiar American fare features something to delight any taste. Items are named after Clint Eastwood films or roles such as Dirty Harry Dinner (Chopped Steak with Wild Mushroom-Dijon Mustard Sauce); Brisket with No Name (BBQ Beef Brisket). Additional items include an extensive Broiler Selection served either simply grilled or blackened, Veal, Monterey Sand Dabs, Seafood Linguine, Baby Back Ribs and an array of Entrée Salads. Desserts are all house made.

The murals and Clint’s movie memorabilia will have guests doing a double take when “the man with no name” himself stops in to grab a bite.
